The Physics of Charging
Charging speed isn't linear. Most modern smartphones use a two-stage charging process: a "Constant Current" stage where the battery charges rapidly to about 80%, followed by a "Constant Voltage" stage where the speed significantly drops to protect battery health and prevent overheating.
Our calculator accounts for this curve by applying a safety coefficient and efficiency overhead common in modern lithium-ion management systems.
